As you are aware, the Dineh people are currently under seige by the BIA.
Please send money for hay and feed for animals so the Dineh can keep their
animals in the corral in order to avoid impoundments.

This money can be sent to Steve Sugarman our fiscal agent.

TEXT OF 5-DAY NOTICE

John and Rena Lane came to Kaibeto this morning with this 5-day notice

If it is possible please continue calling, faxing and writing letters to
the BIA. Also, if you can please travel to Black Mesa to support the elders
and their animals.

At the current time we, Glenna Begay, Leonard Benally and I are in Germany
meeting with politicans in Hamburg, Berlin, and Bonn to put pressure on
the State Department.

receive a "Five Day Notice Letter". Dated Apr 22 1999. Certified Mail
number: z 189 336 924.

On 4/19/99. employees of the Hopi Agency, Bureau of Indian Affairs observed
5 Hereford Cross Cows, 1 Steer branded -N C/HH grasing in Range Unit 253
Hopi Partitioned Lands.

According to our records and/or Navajo Brand Book, this brand is registered
in your name. The animal (s) is/are on the above described land without
proper authorization and is/are in trespass.

If the animal(s) is/are not removed from the Hopi Partitioned Lands within
(5) days upon the receipt of the notice, it is/they are subject to impoundment.
This notice is valid for one (1) year from the date of receipt of this
notice.
