Fri: 29 Aug., 2200*- ROBERTA BLACKGOAT and her son, Danny, are Dineh people
(often known as "Navajo") from the Big Mountain area in Arizona. Roberta
may be the most senior elder of the people there who have been living in
their traditional ways and fighting to maintain their right to do so while
the U.S. Government and the Peabody Coal Company do everything to relocate
them. Unfortunately, for the most part, the government has been successful.
This is a rare opportunity to hear traditional people speak for themselves
and ask for our support before they and their sustainable lifestyle are
completely demolished.
